As some of you know, we recently concluded the Overflow Project's 50 Day Challenge on Sunday, June 8th. The 50 Day Challenge is a challenge put forth by the nonprofit known as "The Overflow Project" and is a unique annual effort to bring fresh water to communities around the world that lack the resources for this crucial and life-sustaining necessity. Those who commit to the challenge commit to simplify their lives by giving up a luxury for 50 days. This enables them to generously give money that was saved during this time to a hurting community in need of fresh water, bringing positive change in these people's lives. 100% of these gifts go toward helping to provide sustainable fresh water, this year in the village of Olemegili, Kenya.

We at Artist Reformation, in partnership with local artist, Samuel Stubblefield, had the privilege of creating an art installation (that was hung at Impact Hub in Seattle) called "Captured In a Net." The installation displayed an array of items found in our homes that once were treasured objects we spent money on, but are now collecting dust. It served as a reminder that we have many luxuries in our lives and if we were to simplify and give up certain things we don't actually need, we can easily create opportunity to bless those whose basic needs are not being met.

We helped create this video to show more people just how impacting this challenge actually is for the hurting communities we serve, as well as for those who generously decide to give. Please take a few minutes to enjoy this video and consider how you might also join in raising our goal of $25,000 towards fresh water resources for this hurting community in Kenya.
