Video Portraits, Fresh Water, and Stories of the Neglected: Come Join Us for These Upcoming Events!

BY JEFF BETTGER

So we have had a lot going on recently and a lot more coming up. I'd like to share some of the things we are working on this month. If any of you in the Seattle area want to be a part of any thing we have going on please give us a holler.

We have this project we've been working on for a while now called These Faces. We originally put it together with Will Foster Photography and  Constellation & Co. Now it has taken on a life of it's own. Will thought of the concept and made the original template. Constellation & Co. donated their expertise in branding and design to ensure we had all we needed in order to be consistent and look good. I love these kinds of collaborations and have been super excited about this one. It has been fun and something we can consistently expound and build upon.

This Saturday 6/14 we are doing another shoot for the project. We would love you to join us. Even if you don't have a DSLR there is plenty to do. Check out the FB event Here or get a hold of us if you'd like to join.

Another thing you might remember us talking a bunch about is the Overflow Project 50 Day Challenge. We did an Art Instillation with Samuel Stubblefield for the project called "Captured in a net". The piece showcased the ideas and values of The Overflow Project and was a great way to start the 50 Day Challenge. So the 50 Day Challenge finished and we are celebrating with one more event called EXPERIENCING CHANGE: a celebration of the 50 day challenge. I invite all of you to attend and get to see the instillation exhibit we did one last time or for the first time. you can get all the info on the event page. Here is a sweet video I was in that recaps the 50 Day Challenge:

One last thing coming up that we are excited about. If you did not get a chance to see SalaamGarage The Long Road Home: Aging out of Foster Care Exhibit at the Art Institute of Seattle. We are going to be showing it at The Impact Hub beginning with a reception on July 3rd. It will be up through September 1st so there is plenty of opportunity to come see it this summer. We will keep you posted about the reception.

If you are at all interested in more details on any of these three updates, just shoot an email to artistreformation@gmail.com. Hope to see you soon!
